Our Story
CTL is devoted to amplifying classic narratives from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and voices and is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every story is honored and every voice is heard. One of CTL’s goals is to engage and enrich the community, educators and students through storytelling by increasing access to classical theatre.
CTL's Tuesday night workshop is the heart of the Lab where our theatre artists collaborate with highly-respected directors from the theatre community.

Classical Theatre Lab began in Los Angeles in 1990, and we have produced many of the great plays of history from the ancient Greeks and Romans, to the works of Shakespeare and Marlowe, to the modern classics of Anton Chekhov, Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams, George Bernard Shaw, Harold Pinter and others.
